After consideration and band condition testing, the Christian Amateur Radio Fellowship is pleased to begin holding a net thrice weekly on 40 meters. This will be held as a complement to our ongoing 75m net. It is believed that the characteristics of the 40m band and the later timing in the morning will allow more distant stations and those from additional time zones to participate.
- Start Date: September 2, 2014
- Days of Week: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
- Frequency: 7.229 MHz
- Time: 1200 UTC (0800 Eastern, 0700 Central, 0600 Mountain, 0500 Pacific)
- Net Control Stations:
- Dave, WB8TLZ (Michigan) will take Tuesday
- Cas, KF6CUE (Virginia) will take Thursday
- Roy KC4YGB (West Virginia) will take Saturday
We look forward to hearing you on the additional net.
Brian J. Linn, KD0HII, President
Cas Grys, KF6CUE, Vice President
Bernie Lewiston, KB0L, Secretary / Treasurer
Found the net on 7.230 but couldn’t get through over the noise. Net control was passable but not always clear, others weren’t understandable. God bless, will try again Saturday. K5GJQ
Thank you very much for the feedback! Please try tuning in again on 7.229, which might work a bit better than being on 7.230. Yes, our frequency selection is unusual. Again, thanks for joining in the 40m net today.
Tried to check in this morning (Thursday) from central Florida, but was only heard by Herb WA4HJB in Georgia at close of net. Hopefully, conditions will improve in the autumn and winter months.
Will continue to keep trying. So far tried again last Saturday and today (13th) still not successful. Was unable to hear anything this AM other that some stations above and below 7.229 from various locations in the mid-west. Some were so close I thought perhaps you had moved up or down to an open freq.
